The Best Gin Summer Drink
It's almost summer here in California, and nothing says 'tis the season of pools, BBQs, and hot, sunny, pie-filled days more than a refreshing gin based cocktail.
Is it difficult to make this Gin Grapefruit Thyme drink, you ask? No! We don't even have a specific recipe, so you have the freedom to make this refreshing spritzer as sweet (or not) as you'd like. What we add:
Gin - the one pictured here is St. George Spirits Botanivore Gin. It's a lovely, layered gin that's distilled just across the Bay from us in Alameda, California. Note, this is not an ad!
Italian Grapefruit Soda - favorite being the one found at good old Trader Joe's.
Freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
Sparkling water
Sprig of thyme
Ice (of course :-))
Easily make this drink less or more sweet by adjusting the sparkling water / soda ratio. For a tart sip, completely omit the soda and simply use sparkling water.
Enjoy, friends. Cheers!
It’s been a wonderful time. Maybe we’ll meet again one day!
